Who Put Tequila In My Coffee?

Updated: Jan 21, 2021

Are you a coffee drinker and a tequila drinker? Then you know how good they are together! Think about Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Do you remember… “two great tastes that taste great together?” This line led to “You got your chocolate in my peanut butter.” It’s the same thing with tequila and coffee, they’re a perfect match.

Adding tequila to coffee dates back generations in Mexico. My Dad, Señor Rio, poured a little in his morning coffee every day. Not only do they go great together, do you know what else tequila and coffee have in common?

They’re both stimulants. And they come from plants! Coffea is a flowering shrub or tree native to Africa and Asia.

While the Agave tequilana (Blue Weber Agave) plant is found in Jalisco, Mexico.

Do you want a little extra kick to your morning or evening? Pour a little Señor Rio Blanco tequila over your coffee grounds. Then brew like normal.  “Café Blanco” tastes wonderful and is an easy way to add pep to your step. The coffee aroma and flavor, with just a hint of tequila essence, are divine! If you have a drip-coffee maker or French press, give it a try. It’ll quickly become part of your brunch or dessert menu. Your friends and family will love this yummy treat!

TEQUILA AND COFFEE TOGETHER IN ONE BOTTLE

Imagine being able to drink tequila and coffee together poured from the same bottle. Would you buy it? Señor Rio Café Elegancia combines coffee and tequila in one bottle. This decadent cordial is made with 100% Arabica coffee beans from Africa, Señor Rio Blanco tequila, and pure Cane sugar. It’s sooo good!!

If you’re looking for…an after-dinner libation, cordial, or a pick me up…try Señor Rio Café Elegancia! Add it to your coffee, tea, or espresso. Put it in a craft cocktail, like our After Dark, or mixed with RumChata for a fabulous adult milkshake. One of my guilty pleasures is topping off a bowl of vanilla bean ice cream with Café Elegancia. Simple to make and yummy to eat!

Salud!
